Mam nadzieję, że będzie zadowolony. 1 Dywizja Grenadierów była pierwszą wielką jednostką Wojska Polskiego sformowaną we Francji i wzięła udział w Bitwie o Francję w 1940 roku, w której straciła blisko 5200 żołnierzy. Pozostałym udało się różnymi szlakami dotrzeć do Wielkiej Brytanii, aby dołączyć do formujących się tam polskich oddziałów.

The 1st Grenadier Division was a Polish infantry formation raised in France during the early stages of World War II. The division was created as a result of the Invasion of Poland as part of the Polish Army in France, and took part in the Battle of France in 1940. The division lost approximately 5200 men during the French campaign. The remnants have joined the Polish forces in the United Kingdom.
